We need just 2 more people to complete our crew
Just when you thought the special event action was done for the season…back by popular demand… Cable’s Trunk or Treat event on Tuesday October 31 could use our help.
The downtown area will be closed off and folks will bring in their cars and dish out treats to the Halloween revelers from their vehicle trunks.
Shelly Wilson has asked that we put a Wrecking crew contingent together to help park cars that will be handing out the candy and in general keep the mayhem to a modest and safe level.
Crew members needed – just speculating here but with folks coming from a variety of directions we could use 6-8 people for sure, the more the merrier. It will be a short and fun assignment as they come in and once settled, we can all go eat candy and hot dogs at the UCC Church.
Equipment – Wrecking Crew vests, name buttons, perhaps some light sabers or parking paddles and our trusty radios for rapid response and decision making.
Assignment At either end of the Center Candy Core and within the Center Candy Core, the WC Greeters will attempt to sort out:
-Those handing out candy who need to get set up.
-Those attending with kids to cruise the area.
-Those trying to figure out how to get around the blocked off area.
WC members stationed in the interior will help control the vehicle movement to the Trunker’s areas and insure the safety of the pedestrians.
Venue Map - last year’s map is attached – this may be updated and will be sent prior to the event.
