Join us as we break ground on our new library building facility!
The Forest Lodge Library is proud to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for its new library building.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the library’s site at 13450 Co Hwy M in Cable, Wisconsin.
This significant milestone follows the recent award of a $1.8 million Flexible Facilities Grant, which, combined with generous community donations, is making this vision a reality. The new facility is designed to provide much-needed expanded space and modern amenities while honoring the library’s unique heritage. The project will allow the Forest Lodge Library to better serve the growing needs of the community and surrounding areas for the next 20 years.
Attendees at the groundbreaking ceremony will include representatives of the towns of Cable and Namakagon; leaders of Bayfield County; the Forest Lodge Library Board of Trustees; representatives from the Katie Flowers Endowment Board, the fundraising arm of the Forest Lodge Library; Westlund Architects; Royal Construction; key donors; and many more community members who have contributed to this endeavor.
The public is invited to join in this celebratory event as the Forest Lodge Library embarks on its next century of service to the community. Thanks to all who have made this possible.
