What does it mean to write for young readers? If you’re struggling to authentically portray diverse characters, plus identify solid mentor texts as a guide, this writing workshop is for you. Explore character, compassion and empathy by learning how to better incorporate authentic voices in your work by avoiding the pitfalls of cultural appropriation or crafting narratives using words and/or plot devices beyond the literacy level of your target audience. Rachel Werner will be the session presenter for this virtual event.
