Eunorau Fat-HS eMTB review:
The FAT-HS is a powerful, heavy-duty electric mountain bike. It uses the Bafang BBSHD 750w motor with 160nm of torque - a lot of torque compared to a typical eMTB.
Five levels of assist, throttle, top speed of 28mph. Can carry 300 lbs of rider plus gear.
We have pulled trailers with these bikes up very steep dirt roads to 9,000ft with ease in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana.
Front and rear suspension. Rear shock has been upgraded to compress at realistic loads. (Original rear shock was too stiff.)
Wheels on the Large frame size bike (green accents) are 26"x4" which are comfy, fat bike size. Large frame equipped with heavy-duty rack and fenders.
Wheels on the Medium frame size bike (orange accents), as pictured, are 27.5"x3" ($299 value). Medium bike also comes with the original 26"x4" wheelset.
Hydraulic disk brakes and heavy duty rims on the wheels.
Drivetrain, shifters, derailleur and cassette on both bikes have been upgraded to 9-speed Microshift with a wide-range cassette for easier climbing.
Upgraded handlebars, stem, grips, seat clamp and headset. Each bike comes with a heavy-duty kickstand.
The best uses for this type of bike are cargo commuting, "alternative" ATV, or hunting.
