Fall 2023 Co-ed Mountain Bike Weekend Clinic in the Hayward/Seeley/Cable area
For the Love of Bikes presents a co-ed mountain bike weekend clinic to be held in the Hayward/Seeley/Cable area on October 6-8, 2023. This will be a weekend of skills and fun on the area’s local single track trails.
Coaches are experienced, certified professional mountain bike coaches from the region, and each participant can be assured that they will ride away with new skills and confidence.
Participants will be able to choose their own weekend experience, all of which are co-ed, and include:
First time clinic – build skills, confidence, fun and fellowship. Skills include body positioning, braking/shifting, cornering, and other trail skills – age 14 and up, co-ed
Returning/intermediate biker looking to learn more skills and expand their riding comfort zone – refresher on fundamentals, add maneuvers to navigate more technical terrain and features on intermediate to advanced trails - age 14 and up, co-ed
3. Show me around the amazing local trails - refresher on fundamentals, then tour multiple portions of the CAMBA and local singletrack trails while actively sessioning and putting on some miles with endless views, all while expanding skills and confidence – 14 and up, co-ed
Introduction to enduro and gravity riding - Refresher on balance, then dive into maneuvers to support gravity riding on intermediate and advanced terrain – age 14 and up, co-ed
Take me to the Cable Bike Park - I’m interested in getting my wheels off the ground. Refresher on balance, wheel lifts, drops, jumps, and developing flow – age 14 and up, co-ed
Brenda Zimmerman Thorpe, Co-founder of For the Love of Bikes, is thrilled to create this opportunity and promote the local community. She and the certified coaching crew will help participants with their mountain bike skills as they ride the amazing local trails. Food, fun, fellowship and mountain bikes!
