PLANNING MEETING: Tuesday December 28, 2023 at 4:00 PM
in person, or by Zoom (will send Zoom address to interested people)

POSSIBLE DAYS/ TIME: Tuesdays or Thursdays, 4:00-5:30 PM

DATES:  January though March 29, 2024 if there is enough groomed snow

DRAFT PLAN:

o   Meet at Ski Chalet at 4:00

o   Divide up into two groups: Classic and Skate

o   Ski to warm up – 15 minutes

o   Meet at confluence of North Loop/Aspen/ River/ East Loop

o   One person for Classic and one person for Skate will lead us in drills- 30 minutes

o   Ski up/down North Loop or River, or

o   Ski back/forth East Loop or Aspen

o   Free Ski, incorporating emphasis from drill – 15 minutes

o   Meet at Ski Chalet about 5:00

o   One person will lead us through strength and balance exercises

CURRICULUM OPTIONS: We could follow:

o   CXC Academy’s ski drills, and strength/ balance exercises (cxcacademy.com)

o   Endurance United’s Birkie preparation schedule, exercises (enduranceunited.org)

o   Nordic Ski Lab drills (nordicskilab.com)

We highly encourage people to join one or more of these groups and watch the videos yourself.

COST: Everyone needs to have a daily or annual After Hours ski pass.

BRING:

o   Classic or skate skis, poles, boots

o   Head lamp

o   Snack
